Bethesda Junior Academy  “Engage, Transform, Emerge”

 History

Bethesda Elementary School was established in 1972 because of the growing concern to provide Christian education for the children of the church and community. The name Bethesda, which means “House of Mercy”, was chosen as the name for the school at the time. It was changed in 2006 to Bethesda Junior Academy when grades 9 and 10 were added moving the school to Junior Academy status.

Professional staff members hold credentials from both Atlantic Union, New York State agencies, and internationally.

Nestled in a caring and nurturing environment, the academic program addresses the needs of the students from Pre-Kindergarten to 10th grade. Bible is among the core subjects taught. Other subjects  taught at the school include: Music, Health and Physical Education, Computer Technology and Foreign languages which are taught to the  students at all levels.

Bethesda Junior Academy prepares the whole student mentally, physically, spiritually and socially to be of service in this world and for greater joy and wider service in the world to come.

Mission Statement
